Commercial Styrofoam Recycling 

Canadian Empire Recycling specializes in bulk collection and recycling of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), commonly known as Styrofoam, for businesses and industrial clients. They accept large volumes often generated by packaging operations, manufacturing, offices, and construction sites

1. Collection & Sorting

Used Styrofoam is collected from businesses, construction sites, and packaging operations. It’s sorted to remove contaminants (like food residue, tape, or labels). Only clean, white EPS foam is accepted in most commercial settings.

2. Shredding

The sorted foam is fed into an industrial shredder. It’s broken down into small pieces or beads to make it easier to handle and prepare for densification.

3. Densification (or Compaction)

The shredded foam is run through a densifier or compactor. Using heat or compression (or both), the foam is reduced by up to 98% of its original volume. The result is dense EPS “bricks” or ingots that are easy to transport.

4. Transport to Recyclers

These compacted blocks are shipped to specialized recycling facilities or manufacturers. They’re re-melted and pelletized into raw plastic material (polystyrene pellets).

5. Re-Manufacturing

The recycled pellets are used to make new products, including:
